Palazzo della Cancelleria

 

Situated between Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Campo de’Fiori and considered one of the most beautiful palaces in Rome, Palazzo della Cancelleria is the first Roman building constructed in the renaissance style from the beginning. Designed and partially completed between 1486 and 1496, it is owned exclusively by the Apostolic See and also benefits from the immunities afforded to foreign embassies as part of the extraterritorial area of the Holy See.
