TOOLS FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION: LOOKING FORWARD TO A BRIGHTER 2021
The High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations is the reference event in the ASEAN Region for strengthening economic and strategic ties between ASEAN countries and Italy.
The first three editions – Jakarta (2017), Singapore (2018) and Hanoi (2019) – gathered more than 1,000 Chairmen and CEOs of companies, Ministers and Institutional leaders from ASEAN Countries and Italy. The latest edition in Hanoi saw the attendance of both Prime Ministers of Italy and Vietnam along with the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General and senior Ministers from the other ASEAN countries.
In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the High Level Dialogue 2020 turns into a cycle of 4 high-level digital Round Tables programmed from July 2020 to January 2021.
The 4° digital Round Table of the fourth edition of the High Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations will take place on Thursday, January 21, from 9.15 am to 12.00 pm (CET time).
During the Round Table, we will deeply analyse the added value of the regional cooperation between Italy and ASEAN countries, focusing on which distinctive competences Italy can offer to ASEAN countries and vice versa. Furthermore, we will analyse the main and most effective tools to strengthen bilateral relations, ranging from financing mechanisms to free trade agreements.
To date, the following personalities have confirmed their attendance as speakers: Awang Tengah Ali Hasan (Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Second Minister of Urban Development & Natural Resources, Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal & Entrepreneur Development), Valerio De Molli (Managing Partner and CEO, The European House – Ambrosetti), Pasquale Di Bartolomeo (Chief Commercial Officer, Leonardo; CEO, Leonardo International), Doan Thi Thanh Ha (Economist, ERIA), Carlo Ferro (President, ITA), Attilio Fontana (President, Lombardy Regional government), Enrico Letta (Dean, Paris School of International Affairs – Sciences Po; President, Associazione Italia-ASEAN), Mohd Zahid Bin Abdullah (Senior Director ASEAN Economic Integration Division), Nguyen Thanh Phong (Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Vietnam); Pavida Pananond (Professor of International Business at Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University).
