MARIA TERESA PISANI

OIC Chief Trade Facilitation - UNECE

She is Officer in Charge, Chief Trade Facilitation Section of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Traceability Project Lead, where she leads the work on policies and standards for sustainable and digital trade facilitation and is currently managing a global multi-stakeholder initiative on green and inclusive value chains in the textile and clothing industry. At UNECE since 2011, she has been focusing on trade and environmental governance. Before joining the UN, she was with the European Commission, and the ILO, and has managed World Bank funded projects for institutional reforms in emerging economies around the world.

 

 

Maria Teresa Pisani è Officer in Charge, Chief Trade Facilitation Section della Commissione Economica per l’Europa delle Nazioni Unite (UNECE) e Traceability Project Lead, dove dirige il lavoro sulle politiche e gli standard per la facilitazione del commercio sostenibile e digitale. Attualmente dirige un’iniziativa globale sulle value chain verdi e inclusive nell’industria del tessile e dell’abbigliamento. All’UNECE dal 2011, si occupa di commercio e governance ambientale. Prima di entrare all’ONU, ha lavorato presso la Commissione Europea, l’Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro, oltre ad aver gestito progetti finanziati dalla Banca Mondiale a favore di riforme istituzionali nelle economie emergenti di tutto il mondo.
