David Gram

Innovation expert; former Senior Innovation Director - The LEGO Group (Denmark)

David Gram is an innovation expert and he has been Senior Innovation Director at
The LEGO Group’s Future Lab until March 2017.
At LEGO’s Future Lab, he headed up a multidisciplinary team of brilliant designers, marketers, project managers and engineers tasked with inventing the future of play. With a lean start-up approach and an intrapreneurial mindset, the team developed breakthrough business initiatives from insights gathering and early concept development to market validation and transition to core business. Using agile development, pretotyping and strategic partnerships to build new learning and capability fast.
In 2015 he and the Future Lab team has been featured in the Fast Company article “How LEGO Became the Apple of Toys”.
He has worked with radical innovation and lean start-up methods in small businesses and large global corporations for the last 15 years – e.g. as Head of Innovation at Scandinavian Airlines. Using design thinking and agile development, he has been developing and leading front-end organizations and projects from early incubation to full maturity.
Through his experience, David Gram has obtained several unique insights and developed approaches to how businesses can stay afloat in an ever-faster changing world and transform the organization into a change-leading innovator. He believes that anybody can become an innovator in their own organization or as he calls it a “Diplomatic Rebel”.
David Gram studied at Aarhus University, in Denmak, where he obtained both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Business Administration.
