Riccardo Fini is Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and a CIG Marie Curie Fellow (2012-2016) at the University of Bologna in Italy. He’s also a Research Fellow at Imperial College Business School, London (www3.imperial.ac.uk/people/r.fini). Before joining the University of Bologna, he researched at Ecole des Mines de Paris (2007), Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, (2007-2009), and the University of Bozen, Italy (2009-2010). He was also a IEF Marie Curie Research Fellow at Imperial College (2010-2011). His research focuses on the individual-level determinants of entrepreneurship. His overall objective is to contribute to the theoretical debate on the foundation of entrepreneurial activities, explaining heterogeneity and deviance in their enactment. He’s now serving as principal investigator for the TASTE project (www2.sa.unibo.it/taste/index.html), focused on technology-transfer activities by Italian academics. His research was published in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Minerva, Research Policy and Journal of Technology Transfer, and it was recently featured in Nature, Times Higher Education and The New York Times.
