Vice Governor - Regione Emilia-Romagna

Vice-President and Regional Minister at Emilia-Romagna Region for the fight to inequalities and the ecological transition: Pact for Climate, welfare, housing policies, youth policies, international development cooperation, international relations, relations with the EU. In 2014 she was elected to the European Parliament, where she was member of the Development Committee, focusing on International Cooperation and the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development (commitment for which she received the Mep Award 2017), in the Inquiry Committee on the Panama Papers against tax avoidance, in the Gender Equality Committee and in the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee, where she was rapporteur for the Socialist and Democratic Group on the reform of the Dublin Regulation. Her term of office ended in 2019. In the regional elections in January 2020 she headed the Emilia-Romagna Coraggiosa list and was elected to the Regional Legislative Assembly.
