Vice President for Finance and Risk Management - Asian Development Bank

Roberta Casali is the Vice President for Finance and Risk Management at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She oversees the Controller’s Department, Treasury Department, and Office of Risk Management. She is committed to the international development and climate transition agenda. She has led several strategic initiatives on sustainable finance, balance sheet optimization and innovation. She is proactively engaged to strengthen coordination and cooperation among Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) and key stakeholders, in line with the G20 Recommendations for “Better, Bigger and More Effective MDBs”. Prior to joining the ADB, Roberta Casali had more than 30 years of experience in the Italian central bank, the corporate banking sector, and served as Independent Chair and Non-Executive Director in several private and listed companies. Roberta Casali is magna cum laude graduate in Economics and Business Administration from the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), holds an MBA from the SIMON Business School of the University of Rochester (USA), and an International Directors Certificate in Corporate Governance from the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau (France).
