Dato’ Steve Cheah is the Diplomatic Council’s Head of Mission to Mekong Countries covering China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam, a global organization with special consultative status to the United Nations (ECOSOC) and Observer status at the United Nations ESCAP Bangkok. He also chairs the Diplomatic Council’s think-tank and committee on Innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and education. Serving as a board member and advisor to education institutions including Chulalongkorn University School of Integrated Innovation (CSii), corporations including Berli Jucker Public Company, and international organizations including the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN Thailand) – a global organization with affiliates in 200 countries, he is a social entrepreneur who devotes much of his time and resources to empower commercial, educational, youth, and community projects hosting national and international activities and programs that create opportunities to help “internationalize” startups and businesses. His organizations engage both the private sectors and government agencies with the mission to support the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for deeper cross-border collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders.
