Chadchart Sittipunt is the 17^th Governor of Bangkok from June 2022. As Governor, he is committed to make Bangkok ‘a Liveable City for All’ by promoting various policies and initiatives aiming to improve quality of life for people of Bangkok and visitors alike. His key initiatives include promoting the use of ‘Traffy Fondue’, a crowdsourcing platform that help solve urban issues, and ‘Open Bangkok’ — an initiative that aims to improve openness, transparency, accountability, and innovation of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. In 2018, he was chosen as one of the three candidates for the Prime Minister of Thailand for Pheu Thai Party. He began his political career serving as the Minister of Transport between 2012 – 2014. Prior to his political career, he was a lecturer at Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
