From September 2019, she is the Deputy Director General for Global Affairs/Managing Director for Asia and Oceania at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She graduated at Rome La Sapienza University in Political Sciences. She joined the diplomatic career in 1998. After serving for three years in Albania during the Kosovo crisis, she focused on UN related issues first during her 5-year term at Italy’s mission to the UN and then at the UN Department in Rome. Prior to her current role, she first managed the Legal Affairs Department within the Protocol Service and she was then Director of the Diplomatic Training institute. Wife and mother of two kids.
