Phạm Hồng Hải is CEO at HSBC Bank in Vietnam. Under his leadership, HSBC Vietnam regained its position as the best and biggest foreign bank in Vietnam by focusing on selective client segments, building strong business corridors, managing operational risks especially financial crime risks effectively. He is the first ever Vietnamese person to head operations at this Vietnam’s leading foreign-owned bank. He was the first ever Vietnamese national to be appointed head of Global Markets at HSBC Vietnam in 2004 and head of Global Banking and Markets (GB&M) in 2012.
