Stefano Manservisi was Director-General at the DG for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) of the European Commission from May 2016 to October 2019. Previously, from 2014 to 2016 he was Head of Cabinet to Vice-President of the European Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. In 2014 he was Head of EU Delegation to Turkey and from 2010 to 2014 he was Director-General at the DG for Migration and Home Affairs (HOME) of the European Commission. From 2004 to 2010 he was Director-General at the DG for Development and Relations with African, Caribbean and Pacific States (DEV) of the European Commission. From 2000 to 2004 he was Deputy Head then Head of Cabinet to President Romano Prodi, European Commission and from 1995 to 2000 he was Deputy Head then Head of Cabinet to EU Commissioner Mario Monti. He regularly participates to Think Tank seminars, including Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Carnegie Foundation, Friends of Europe, Bruguel, Migration Policy Institute, Paris Peace Forum, World Economic Forum Councils, Crans Montana, Centre for European Policy Studies, German Marshall Fund.
