Director, Green Technology Division - MIDA

Director of the Green Technology Division of Mida since 2017. Starting April 2017 she was tasked to the Incentive Coordination and Collaboration Office Division in MIDA, a newly set-up Division in MIDA responsible for the planning and coordination the collection of incentives and approvals for the incentives (direct and indirect) offered by the Federal Government. She was transferred to the services sector responsible for the Healthcare, Education and Hospitality Division from April 2015 until March 2017. From August 2012 she was based in Textile and Non-Metallic Minerals Products Division before it was renamed Building Technology and Lifestyle Division until June 2014 as a Senior Dep. Director and later on promoted to the Director post. From April 2009 to July 2009, she assumed the post of Deputy Director, FDI Europe in MIDA headquarters before being posted to MIDA Milan from July 2009 to July 2012. In Milan, her responsibilities includes promoting foreign direct investments from countries under her coverage – Austria, Italy and Switzerland into Malaysia by facilitating and advising investors on the investment opportunities, government policies and procedures, and the facilities offer for businesses in Malaysia. After 12 years serving at the Headquarters in MIDA KL, she was given the task to head MIDA state office as the Director in Penang from Nov 2007 until April 2009, where her main responsibilities were to assist investors (both domestic and foreign) in relation to various aspect of investing operations such as site selection, liaison with the state and federal agencies, utilities providers until post licencing activities. From May 1999 she served at Agro-based Industries Division until Oct 2007. During this period, she was involved in the preparation of the chapter for the wood-based industry under the Third Industrial Master Plan (IMP3, 2006-2020). She began her career in Malaysian Investment Development Authority (formerly known as Malaysian Industrial Development Authority, MIDA) in August 1995 and served as an Assistant Director in Minerals and Paper Industries Division until April 1999. She graduated from MARA University of Technology (UiTM) with Bachelor (Hon.) in Business Studies, major in Marketing.
