Captain Md Jani bin Md Dom is the Director of Quality & Standards since of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) since December 2019. In his role he oversee CAAM Safety Oversight Functions and related matters and transformation of regulations and guidance materials. He also serves as Flight Operations Inspector. From 2016 to 2019 he serves as Director of Flight Operations at CAAM Headquarters. He Jointly involved in drafting current Civil Aviation Regulations 2016 (MCAR) and Civil Aviation (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2016. He was involved in promulgating of various Flight Operations Directives (FOD)- Part FCL, Part ORO, Part ORA, Part SPA, Part CAT, Part Medical, etc. which were adopted based on EASA model requirements. Previously he worked for the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation (2005-2018), the Malaysia Helicopter Services – MHS (2003-2005) and the Royal Malaysian Airforce (1989-2003). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at University of Akron, Ohio, USA (1987). And Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), SM Sains Ayer Keroh Melaka (1982): Grade 1.
